It runs rather warm. I've got some external heat sinks I might fit on the case top (outside the case) above the processor. It may help.

Watching the processor load I haven't had it much above 25% and the OS still feels responsive. I've got the latest distribution of Ubuntu Mate running.
I've had Puppy Linux Bionic running in RAM and that all works well. I'm going to try out the newest Puppy Linux Woof based distro when I've got the patience.

I know Puppy Linux gets very mixed reviews but that's because some people treat it as a desktop OS. It isn't really. It's meant to live on a flash drive and assuming one can access the bios, one can run Puppy Linux from that flash drive on most computers. Recently for example when the old computer started to fail, Puppy Linux got my files off the dying chip.
It may help, it's probably using the case as a heatsink.

I have Linux Mint on a decade+ Celeron and it does dandy for basic Youtube playback.

We have a new layer, an egg yesterday and another this morning. I believe it is Blue Raptor, since the lighter egg was under her preferred place on the roost. View attachment 4139616

Also, Marble was making sure she and a few other girls saw the eggshells I put out. He's such a kind rooster. He even politely walked up to me and then went to his food bucket with a bokbok so I would fill it.

Tull lays eggs very like the egg on the right in your picture.

It's not happening by my hand
Have you got a solution? More hands help? I imagine there's not much wiggle room for repositioning where a fence post can go.

Now Xmoor has gone broody :th She's the 5th one this season  She won't be 1 till August, and as she is sitting in a coop (which is good), and getting off to eat etc. (ditto), I've left her a couple of fake eggs to sit on; it's a shame to start her broody experience with certain disappointment, but she's very young, and she'll get more opportunities, I expect, and we def do not need any more chicks running round here!!!

I LOVE Linux!

I have 3 turkeys sitting and 2 committed buffs. I am letting them do their thing. We have plenty of land left for them to take over, and if nothing else, I can find a nice person who wants a ready made flock, locally. (assuming they pass my tests.)

Tax, because I'm sure I'm overdue, and just trying out my new MacBook Air. My old laptop just couldn't update anything any more, and was driving me crazy, just trying to do the few stupid things I use a computer for. Now I'm " in the cloud" so I can get better shots on my phone to post. Edie, my speckled Sussex is now being treated for salpingitis, with antibiotics and carprofen, hoping to stave off another surgery for now, anyway. The good news is that her constant diarrhea has cleared up.:celebrate The last photo, of Celeste, is from last summer, when the girls were in the house due to triple digit temps. She escaped the crate and went walkabout through the house, checking out the front yard.

Lovely Edie! I hope she continues to recover! 😍 ❤️ 😍

Hi all, I just changed my username to Mother of Chaos, which I wanted when I first joined but was told by the software that it was taken. I think it's a much more descriptive term for my life. 🤓🤪

I will leave Skeptical Buffy up as my avi to smooth things over a bit.
Mother of Chaos sounds much more death metal 😆
