Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

Ah, that will be fine. It just needs a quick fry in olive oil and lots of garlic. Present it as a new dish of secret ingredients and you'll probably make the chef of the year awards.
I mean, after all, people eat McDonald's:lol:.
When it hit us one early summer day in 2020 after unusual levels of heat and humidity, I genuinely thought that some folks wobbling their ways home from the pubs and bars still open in early COVID, a block and a half away, had just blown cookies in our side yards. (Yes, we do in fact love living in the city!)

The next day, it had all turned bright golden yellow, the so-called scrambled eggs slime mold that generally appears on day 2 (same slime mold, different stage.)

It came in via bags of hardwood mulch that were a bit damp and ready to host Fuligo septica in these perfect conditions.

It’s completely harmless, other than often weighing down plant stalks with the weight of fruiting bodies. But it takes some energy and determination to show it any love.

We stayed out until l it poured and rushed back to the coop to escape the heaviest showers. The field looked lovely against the sky when the sun broke through the clouds.

We used to call McDonald's "plastic food". Once we ate pancakes there around 10 years ago or so. I think we got a bit of food poisoning. The toilets were visited quite a bit afterwards.

I am always kinda hesitant because I never know if my knowledge is interesting enough.
But the questions here suggest I might be able to help. I will try and draft something about my experience and the various products (including the very popular rat contraceptive!).
The sharing of practical knowledge is extremely important so much knowledge has been lost over the years, because the old timers just knew it and things didn't get written down. Your writing style is clear, natural and easy to read.

The rainbow is beautifully complete.
I saw a rainbow here too today. But I was driving and couldn’t take pictures .

Earlier today. Janice picking up the crumbles from my lunch. She was too shy to come this close to me a while back. Strangely she is less afraid since we came back from our vacation. Even eats from my hand.
