Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

Erm, who is this Ronald geezer. I'm, assuming, kattabelly being a Scot, that he's some kind of local hero?:p
Take your pick! (Curse those Norsemen, coming over here and ruining things 🤬 Take your pict would've been such a good pun)

There's Rognvald Kali Kolson or Rognvald Eysteinsson to start you off.
I ended up picking a theme and going with that
I haven't named chickens just to call them something, up till now. Some end up with names one way or another and some never do. I've been thinking of trying to teach some of them to recognise a name though.

I've been informed that a famous Ronald represents a ghastly American based blot on our landscape, much like a couple of golf courses across the border. So, if I've got this right then here in England the shop fitters can't spell and the trade name is actually McRonalds.:D

As a fellow Scot, I can't help feeling disappointed that some poor cockerel has been named after some patsy clown that sells poison on our high streets.:p

Maybe I've got this all wrong...
I've heard the fries McDonalds sells over there taste like sadness.

I wouldn't know but they look like they'd make you sad. The best "fries" in the world are never going to be half as good as proper chippy chips cooked in beef dripping.
Supposedly all you get over there is salted potatoes fried in veggie oil. Not even fake beef flavor. Ours here have beef flavor and who knows what in them.

I did kind of suspect that it might just lead to me being ignored in a more specific way :lau
Spud and Goldie always greet us, every time, Squeaky does sometimes, Walnut and Tater, rarely more than a look to acknowledge our presence and to see if we are bringing treats LOL.
