RIP Uppsala. She was absolutely fine this morning - as it happens I got a photo of her dustbathing while I was stalking the cockerels to get photos of them for the current compo - and she just now had a seizure at tea, and died within a minute in my arms. 3 years 4 months old. :hit

Edited to add some more photos of her: she was 2nd in the large fowl non-APA competition just 2 months ago

So sorry Perris. She was gorgeous

Are humans used to the drones yet? When neighbors and real estate agents [accidentally?] fly drones over our property, I'm unnerved. I'm careful not to fly uninvited like that.

Was actually wondering about this. So many people. It's funny what concerns the chickens and what doesn't.

Not anymore. Not in Europe anyway since the Russians sent spy drones to Europe. Its on the news almost daily. The last week Belgium got them. They fly mostly above airports.

It freaks people out and disturbs the flights. They cause delays and passengers land on other airports. These spy drones always come when its getting dark and are hardly visible.
It seems the Netherlands didn’t register any bc our airports are visible on Google.

So sorry for your loss of Uppsala.

Thanks again for the many condolences on Uppsala's sudden death. I did an amateur necropsy but am none the wiser really as to the cause. I did however establish that she wasn't the as yet unidentified salpingitis-sufferer, that she was parasite free, and that she'd been eating well.
