Info brompton e-bikes:

Price approx € 4000.

Decathlon has one for € 1000, but I don’t think they are reliable / last a long time.

There are many trademarks/options in between. Ask around, make a test ride, try folding it, if you are truly interested.
Yikes, 4,000 Euros? I had no idea that they ran so high!

If you pay that much but it lasts a long while it's probably well worth it.

I do have my 20+ year old bike that was going to get tossed. It still works just fine. Not an ebike though. Not sure how long an ebike would last.

Random tax payment for, well, everything. Nothing like raw turnip greens when the temperature finally soars to the mid-20’s:

Its in general its the same as the normal bikes except for the power/range from the battery. The batteries start to decline after several years, depending on how often you charge it (1000 charges)
A 100 km range can easily drop to 50 km after 3-7 years.
A yearly (or 2000km) check , cleaning and new oil/grease at the bike shop makes the bike last longer.
