Shakes the magic 8 ball (Will they be mottled?)

Will my chicks be mottled

  • As I see it, yes.

  • Ask again later.

  • Better not tell you now.

  • Cannot predict now.

  • Concentrate and ask again.

  • Don't count on it.

  • It is decidedly so.

Oh, interesting! I'm off to read about it. I've never heard of that before. Thanks!
And beautiful chicks, OP! I can't wait to see how they mature.
Most of the time the pattern will be messy, occasionally they can be abit more clearer, but not all the time.

My rooster is split mottled so are two of the hens with him the other two are speckled sussex. Now I hatched 13/16 eggs according to the mottling chart I have a 1 out of 4 chances of getting a mottled chick so if thats 1/4 and I hatched 13 thats 4/13 chicks that in theory should be mottled if it was the speckled sussex eggs they would be half and half they werent laying then
Heres the parents

Also LOVE THE AVATAR!

I don't know if they will be mottled, but some are sex linked. One of the hens is silver and your rooster is gold, so female chicks from that pair will be gold and males will be silver. All the ones with silver faces are male.
I knew about that but didnt connect it with this pen lol my roo is actually blue but works the same

But the roo visually looks like a BLRW?
My roosters father was him he was a blrw/ silver laced wyandotte mix
