Shakey Ducklings

@Miss Lydia how long/often do you give the B Complex? One of my ducklings has the exact same thing going on despite nutritional yeast and nutridrench, so I got some B Complex today. I hope it works. Her legs are way stronger than when I got her but there is still a clear difference between her and her sister. Interestingly, the shakey one is larger and I'm wondering if there is a tie to the faster growth rate.

I am checking in on the current age of your ducklings and if the shaking is totally gone? I have one that is about 5.5 weeks and has started this on occasion. They have always had flock raiser, nutritional yeast and nutridrench. I will add the liquid B complex if it worked for you and I can find it. I already looked at 2 stores without success.
I’m just now seeing this I don’t get on as often as I should. I’m not exactly sure how old she was when we got them. And it was only a couple weeks after that she started shaking she’s the smallest out of the 3 and the only one that shook. But yes the vitamin b definitely helped. I would give her the dose I felt she needed and I did it twice a day I’m the morning before heya went out and at bedtime just after they would come in. I also added a bit to the water fowl that way the others could get a little extra too. They’re all doing great. My only issue is my other girl has a cough I feel like maybe she’s going to a tickle in her throat or she ate a shaving that won’t go Down but it’s been on off for a while, and reason why a duckling has a cough?

Thanks for the update! I hope the vitamin b does the trick, she seems totally healthy otherwise.

My ducklings were a little sneezy, but I switched to straw bedding instead of pine, less dust, and give them more frequent baths, and they are better.

Also make sure your ducklings have grit. Hopefully it's just some grass or something that needs to pass through!

alright I’ll try the straw hopefully that will make a change. It’s always one duck or another so I’m taking that as a good sign. And because I’m just curious what do you mean by baths? Do you actually clean them or do you just get them fresh water to clean them self’s?

Depending on age of your ducklings newly hatched less warm water they can get into the tub with warm water they will bath themselves start with water just to top of legs then as they get use to it add more until they can swim and dive but always stay with them so they don't wear out or get water logged. Then pat dry and put back under heat to finish drying they will preen and get the oil glad to start working.

mine shake sometimes. occasionally they get hot so I put them in cold water and they cool down but generally they do that sometimes for no apparent reason.

By baths I just mean a big container of fresh water every other day or more that's big enough for them to get their whole body in and preen themselves. They get dirty and poopy and dusty in the brooder and the brooder water gets dirty quick too.
Ok. That’s what I thought lol just wanted to check. Mine stay inside still but get let out early in the morning. Usually after I wipe I just go and fill up a pool and they play or bath in it.
