I just went to go check the girls, and I found one by the door. She can't really stand well, seems like she can't get her footing or something. But she keeps shaking? If I hold her securely, she stops, but as soon as she hears a noise or I put her down, it starts again. She's got a little food on her craw, and she won't drink water, but they had some water too, so she might not need any ? But I'm wondering if she got stuck and hurt her let leg, maybe she's hurting or something?

I thought that I had read that there was a disease that causes shaking, or maybe that was goats?? I don't know. Any ideas? I have her just wrapped in a hand towel.

This thread doesn't have an outcome but it mentions similar symptoms: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=343881

I
would think if it is avian encephalomyelitis you would see it in other birds as well. Perhaps for now your bird just needs a bit of a vitamin/mineral boost? I would imagine other issues like strokes, poisoning etc could probably also cause the shakes.

Anything mysterious, I just use TLC and see... Sorry I can't help.

Thanks. She also has another symptom. She's sprattle legged, but she's never had it before today, and she's about 10 weeks old. Could it just be weakness doing it?
