Just wanted to say hello to all! I am very thankful I found this group, came across it on FB. I am new to raising chickens but loving it so far. They are funny little characters and very curious. I have 10 chickens. 4 Rhode Island Reds, 2 australorps, 2 golden comets, and 2 easter eggers (although one of them looks very much like a golden comet as well). I also have 2 turkeys in the mix and 2 ducks (my husbands idea). I love my flock but the ducks I am still learning to love, lol. My girls are about 6 weeks old now and seem to be healthy and happy. I work full time during the day as a Medical billing manager but am blessed to be able to work remotely and enjoy Gods beauty at our new home we purchased last August on 10 acres. I get to peek in on the girls during the day and take care of any needs as well. I am a Charis Bible College student as well and once completed will be a licensed minister so keeping myself ready to go where I am called to go, or stay if my assignment is here. I have been married to my husband for 31 years, and we have 4 children and 19 grandchildren. Life just doesn't get any better than this. God is good!! In my spare time (when I can find spare time) I love to be creative. I have an Etsy store 'Blessed2blessgifts" where I sell essential oil bracelet diffusers and auto EO freshener diffusers, and plan to expand to other items. Time is a commodity and very precious so I try to take time to enjoy the little things, enjoy nature, see Gods beauty, and count every Blessing in this life I have been given. ...and the best way to start any day, is to read Gods Word.
Blessings to you all!

a good rule of thumb is to have more chickens than grand children...so buy some more ;)
