Share about recent or expected rabbit kindling?

I've had rattlesnake too, pretty good, but no, we did not eat this one. Hubby at the time didn't think they were really edible, but we later found out they are. The fuzzy part on the back of the hat is from one of my squirrel tails.
That is gorgeous! The squirrel tail really complements the snake pattern nicely. What's the blue piece, is it stone? Pretty!

You clearly have artistic talent! Can't wait to see your rabbit fur creations.

Nest boxes go in with the does tomorrow...and I saw the SF doe haystaching this morning! What a relief - with first-timers, you just never know what they'll do. I don't palpate my does, so while my proven NZ doe is obviously (hugely) pregnant, the SF doe just looked kind of large...and she was already a fairly big girl.
I feel more confident that she's going to kindle now.

Thanks! I've tried it before, but they don't like it and I couldn't really tell what I was feeling. lol I've found that if I can witness three successful breedings, the doe will be pregnant. Have you found palpation useful?
I have found palpation very useful. It saves all the frustration of getting ready for a new litter, and then not having one. I'm pretty new to breeding rabbits, so palpating can still be pretty tricky. I practice on a non-pregnant doe, or a buck, and then palpate a pregnant doe. That way, you can really feel the difference in comparison between the tw:hmmf course, palpation is not neccessary, but it really help. The kits should feel like marbles if you palpate at the right time(between 12-14 days).

Right on schedule, my REW NZ doe kindled today. After pulling fur and lining her nest, she had what looks like 8 healthy kits, 4 white and 4 agouti. This doe previously had a litter of 11, so I'm pleased that the litter is smaller (and more manageable) this time.

Here they are:

Just waiting on the SF doe now...should be happening at any moment...
