Thanks! I've tried it before, but they don't like it and I couldn't really tell what I was feeling. lol I've found that if I can witness three successful breedings, the doe will be pregnant. I have found palpation very useful. It saves all the frustration of getting ready for a new litter, and then not having one. I'm pretty new to breeding rabbits, so palpating can still be pretty tricky. I practice on a non-pregnant doe, or a buck, and then palpate a pregnant doe. That way, you can really feel the difference in comparison between the twThanks! They look great!!!Right on schedule, my REW NZ doe kindled today. After pulling fur and lining her nest, she had what looks like 8 healthy kits, 4 white and 4 agouti. This doe previously had a litter of 11, so I'm pleased that the litter is smaller (and more manageable) this time.
