every morning at 5am before he crows he flaps his wings so hard that the first couple times he did this I rushed to the front door thinking I heard someone knocking!
And this fancy boy is B@st@rd (Rose Comb Brown Leghorn)
and here's another one of B@st@rd. He's so good to his girls. When they get roughed up by another roo they run directly to him. That is if he isn't already there rescuing her... in this picture, though - he and I had to have a little "talk."
This is Fawkes, he's since been culled because he turned VERY mean towards my hens. He was a feed store Easter Egger
I was not keen on getting another Roo, since I wasn't convinced another wouldn't be as much an *******, but a local farm who breeds Amerucanas had a Roo that needed a home and they assured me her was gentle and sweet! And is he ever!! He's the sweetest Roo to my girls, and he's nice to anyone who comes into the yard!
He's a Blue Wheaton Amerucana. Funny, my first Roo was named after Wil Wheaton's character on "The Guild" and my second Roo is a "Wheaton" ;-D
