My newest bantam Cochin mixed pullet is almost as small as our littlest Banty Cochin. Her name is Piper. (Although I’m not positive she has only one father…. )

This was her compared to her hatchmate brother, Kuroba. Kuroba’s father is Bootsie (The Brahma banty mix).

Kuroba is a giant compared to her, almost taller than his father. His mother was a maran.

Here they are!! They're still young and still look kind of ragged but I can already tell they're going to be gorgeous when they have their final molts into their adult feathers

I have three bantams backyard mutts and a small bantam size hen that hatched from a standard egg and was a runt chick. I have no clue what kind of breeds they could come from, and would be glad to hear if anyone has an idea. They are all very good flyers and free rangers but not very human friendly . Although I would never have chosen to have bantams, they have a lot of personality and have won me over!
