I absolutely love her eyes. I had an EE with amber colored eyes but not pearl. Wouldn’t it be neat if eye color genetics were fully understood for chickens?

Holly, my EE/Ameraucana mix. She has the darkest eyes in my flock, but both her parents had normal light brown eyes. All of her half sisters also have pretty dark eyes.

Finally found a picture of her. Maybe she had pearl eyes after all. I lost her due to a freak accident. You know how it goes in the chicken world with our favorite birds.
