Actually 'Ling (short for Duckling but somehow it stuck…) is half wild mallard. Whatever else she has in her is an entire mystery. Her father was likely a mixed duck of who knows what …lol
I'll be honest, she was an egg I found lying in the open by a path at the local city park. Okay so I'm bad, but Ling is healthy and (I believe happy) so who's to judge. I'm curious to see her eggs when she starts laying, I've never had duck eggs before.

She knows she's beautiful.

She is gorgeous.

I don't see the harm in that, if you didn't pick the egg up and give it a home could you imagine if a child or some one else had have found it? I am sure she is very happy where she is right now, she definitely looks it.

That's what I thought too. I see them there all the time and kids like to throw and break them >.< uuuuhhghhh…. I never could figure out why people do that…

Beautiful ducks, I especially like the ones where so many are in the small pool, makes me think back to when folks use to see how many would fit into a phone booth or volkswagon beetle, course now i have dated myself.

does anyone now what breed these ducks are? they are all siblings from a solid black mom we didnt have any other ducks at the time, so i have no clue who the dad is.
