Share your pictures of Dust/Dirt Baths

We move our two chickens every few days/once a week to a new patch of grass in the backyard; I love the portable coop.

I bought a container from Goodwill ($.75) to make the bath, I wish I had the lid that went w/it. With all the rain we've had lately I've not been able to get any dry dirt. Can I use some of lime from the road? As FL dirt is sandy naturally I'm thinking I won't need to add sand; however, the DE sounds like a good idea.

I made my chickens a place for them to take dirt baths, using sand and peat moss, but they never even touched it. Any ideas on what else I could do? We don't have much dirt for them to play in either, mainly grass.

Try putting a bit of dirt in it as well, Jade. Doesn't need to be much...maybe 1/3 of the mixture. It's dustier than sand or peat and that might well encourage them. You could also try putting one of them IN it and then scratching around with your fingers...if she gets the idea, the others will likely copy her.
