Is there anything cuter than ducklings? They're gorgeous.

Funky Chicken Dunce - I would not say that ducks are hard on your land or yard. Depends on how many you have. I have a suburban block with 8 ducks and no problems. A couple of ducks would have minimal impact. As for water, they need at least a tub of water changed every couple of days. A plastic kids' swimming pool is even better. But you defintely don't need a dam or lake or stream.

Ah, the head tilt. Even at that age, they can capture your heart with the head tilt.
Pictures like these are the reason we are all currently dealing with nasty, filthy, stinky, wet brooders. I know because I have some of my own!
Adorable.

You know, my ducks are not that hard on my yard. If anything they keep my bug population down, and those are harder on the law than the duckies! The worse the do is dig little holes in the mud, but I just fill any of them in that bother me.

As for water, I think most people here don't have a natural water source on their land for their ducks. I don't. I just use a 50 gallon stock tank and a kiddie pool. They're in heaven.
