Thanks, y'all. Humidity is good. Membrane looks good now that it's knocked some shell off and I can see it. It's peeping loudly and beginning a real zip. Kind of odd. But atleast it's a zip and it's not continuing to poke holes in different locations, deciding where it wants to come out, lol.

Okay, it's head is out. It never zipped all the way. Kind of busted out the side, but I think it's ok as long as it can get it's body out the hole. It's tiny, tiny seems like to me. I'm thinking bantam at this point. But it came from the smaller egg but I couldn't tell if was bantam egg or from a young pullet of the others. Can't tell about color yet, whether buff or red. Def not white. Waiting on the feet and legs to come out to see if we have feathered feet. Mutts are fun to hatch!! It's like opening a Christmas present!

Ok, body is out. No feathered feet. Looks like a Buff Orp/RIR cross. Not sure really.

Anyhoo, it has this huge blob of stuff attached to it's belly. Looks like white poo. Belly looks huge. I don't think this chick is formed right. Body looks really strange. Can't see too good because it's laying in the carton. But it's... odd looking...

Well, it's a strong chick that is moving from hole to hole in the egg carton. I can't see it's belly good and don't want to open the bator because the other egg has pipped really good now. It's loud. I hope it's just leftover yolk stuff, but it's not bleeding. Kind of looks like gum hanging from it when I can see it. Can't see the belly too much yet.

It's drying. A beautiful buff. Hopefully whatever is wrong will resolve.

at 4 days old, you are probably too late as the girls feathers catch up with boys.
best to check the day they hatch or the 2nd day for best results. females are uneven (short/ long/short)
males are even- this is on the wing tips only. I have also found on mine, if they are super fuzzy and you cant see the tips, usually a female 95% of the time.

YES!!! I did check her and have a hard time at day 2 because her wings were so feathery! I have a girly!!! Probably the only girl out of the 13 pure oddballs that hatched haha-So-I have 24 BLRW chicks coming in 3 weeks they should be 2-3 days at the latest when recieved-I can feather sex them huh? sweet!!! I didnt realize or havent been knowledgable enough with sex linked birds to know W's could be feather sexed!!

And they all look different!

One is solid yellow.
One is yellow with blue patches on the back of his head and blue chipmunk racing stripes
One is yellow with blue patches
One has a reddish face and is solid blue on top and yellow underneath
The one that JUST hatched is solid blue with a little yellow patch on his belly

I will try to crank up our malfunctioning camera and take a pic once they are all dry and fluffy. DH just took a look and said 'Thats a begraggled looking lot'

My evil rooster is gone gone gone, and 1 of my rapist roos went with him. I had to perform bumblefoot surgery last night, that was not a joyous event for sure. I think that's all that's happening in my neck of the woods. Haven't been feeling too chatty the last couple of days. No reason, just feeling quiet.
