Our BLRW, Nittany. I swear if we would let her, she would go broody. She was growling and pecking at us this morning.

Well My one broody hatched out 2 BLRW's and 1 split-but I found 1 BLRW dead next to her very cold-I wanted to cry-I was so sad for it:-(

rip rip rip MOmma-was a rough day at work-had to scream at one of my guys at work today--I hardly ever raise my voice but he was going off on something and I said his name 2x nicely and he wouldnt shut up-I yelled his name and told him to get his butt in hallway and not infront of other employees to talk to me-he yelled at me that he was a 33 yr old man and he will not be talked down to like that-I stop acting like your 3 and maybe youd get the respect you deserve-wow I thought he was mad before...LOL we went straight to my bosses office and after an hour he apologized for being as ass but arogant crapola!! I told him Not to ever speak to me like that again and I wont speak to him like that but I have every right to raise my voice when he wont SHUT UP!!! he's lucky I didnt

I would let her if she wasn't the only one we had! One of the Silkies going broody would be fine, but not her.

Sorry about your baby Nat. We lost a couple overnight. Our wc black Roo, a blrw baby, and a splash silkie. It is so frustrating. The Roo I think was a lot older than what we were told because none of eggs were fertile, so we were going to replace him anyway, but the silkie really sucks.

yah even if they are chicks I couldnt use ( like my split) I would still be so sad-but to see the BLRW chick dead right next to momma ticked me off--I couldnt understand why it wasnt under her or why it didnt go under her?? poor thing it is freezing outside-its 40 degrees in that pen where its 10 in the outside of pen Im moving mom and chicks out of nesting box as its a foot off ground and I want her on ground so she can feed and teach her chicks about the waterer! If Im totally worried Ill take both chicks inside with me

Sorry about your bad day! And your chick! I suppose when I have fertile eggs, nobody will be broody! Just a hunch! My MFC's will be 5 months on Jan. 2nd. So maybe by the time you get here I'll have eggs!

Made a cake and cleaned the house, guess I could have taken it easy, but I couldn't stand sitting here!
