I don't care how many roos I end up with. What concerns me is the potential noise. In the past year, 3 of my roos have died, so the one left is a silkie roo who doesn't crow all that much because he was never in charge. And the neighbor's roo is 3-4 years old, and doesn't crow very much anymore. Gee I am missing the noise, the chorus, LOL. I hope the neighbors are missing them too and will be relieved when there's new crowers.
Not for nothing, but I just LOVE those mornings when you hear a cockerel practice his crow for the first time. Then I have to go out and figure out who it is! I live for those moments.
