flock of 6 hens and 3 roos

2 friz roos and 2 friz hens

so, that means 4 smooth hens and 1 smooth roo as well...

Right, but I am betting that she is trying to sell them because they either aren't fertile anymore (most likely since they are 3) or she is getting out of them. Bob emailed her about her reserve price and shipping and she never responded, so we took that as she won't ship them. Plus, I have since heard some not so great things about the seller, so that makes me even more leery.

With you on the seller. TOTALLY. BUYER BEWARE
I am pretty good at hatching peacock eggs despite shipping being especially severe on them. It is a risk that is calculated.
3 years ago I got some eggs for her and had one chick hatch. Oh well. That happens.
Last year I bought 14 or so eggs towards the end of a season (this was pre arranged to fit with holiday). She then priced them WAY above what she had been getting on ebay. I had them overnighted to me. NONE WERE FERTILE. So I asked her if the males still had tail feathers when she sent them. She said a few did have a few feathers. So she KNEW they were infertile, still opted to send them, and charged me MORE than usual for them. She could have mentioned to me that the males had lost their tails by the time the pre arranged date came around, BUT NO SHE OPTED NOT TO MENTION IT. I did not ask as I assumed no one would sell eggs they knew were likely to be infertile.
I am still fuming that someone would be that dishonest.

Sounds VERY dispicable! I would still be mad too! Good thing some of us still operate under the golden rule.

That would INFURIATE me!

I talked to someone the other day that got eggs from her twice. First time some hatched, then died soon after, second time none hatched. She said it wasn't he fault and there was nothing she was going to do to fix it.

I know enough about Tolbunts to know that 3 years is too old for them to be reliably fertile anymore. They would be pretty lawn ornaments, but I'm not paying for that.

Is there a way to giver a bad rating?

Nat - Glad you're feeling better. Been there - don't EVER want to go back! Tell your sister she's a butt!

Sem - I'm surprised they put the boys' names in the paper, but not sorry. There's too much wrist-slapping going on with animal cruelty. CiP - Michael Vick. "Hey Mike! You have to go to jail for subjecting dogs to violence, torture, and death, and encouraging others to get involved, and making money from it? No problem, we'll hold that multi-million football job for ya!"
