No Kids!!!! No Kids!!!!! No Kids!!!!!!!! The oldest is with his brother, the middle is sleeping in igloos on a mountain with his boy scout troop and my birthday girl spent the night at the science center with her girl scout troop.

Rarely happens in my life. A whole night just my hubby and I.

Morning. I worked OT yesterday, got off at 630, went home and made dinner, then plowed snow till like 1130. Had 2 more Lav americaucana eggs cheeping in the bator and helped them out. 1 cuckoo polish was out this morning and 1 was zipping. Should be 1 more thats gonna hatch out of the original 8. All 3 of those had seriously damaged air cells and I'm amazed that they even made it. The ones with good air cells either didn't develop or were quitters.

Snowing here!! Putting 17 Nat OE eggs on lockdown today and moved my four mutt chickies into the dog cage. They are making a huge mess /sigh, but trying to get them acclimated up so they can go outside with the four MF D'uccle girls. Fun fun fun!! Made a banana whole wheat poundcake yesterday for hubby to use up some of the egg stockpile I've got going on.

I dont have enough eggs!!! I have someone who wants 3 doz for pickup today and I have 2 doz--Im giving him some of my eggs I put to the side for incubating:-( I figure I have the chickens that lay them-I can do it anytime! haha

Have to shovel snow off the coops. The weathermen are saying Wed. storm will be extra heavy with sleet and rain mixed with the snow!

Still having humidity issues with my 7 eggs. Next time the 'bator gets filled. Makes it a lot easier!

wont be on much after 9am as I have to help at restaurant today but maybe later

day 20 on BCM's and no early pips:-( early pips help me stop worrying. These guys were so dark I couldnt see through them from the beginning and so Im going blind into lockdown! COuld be a great hatch or a total flop!

Ive never done it but isnt that where you gorge on proteins-meats and such and stay away from fruits/veggies etc???
