Sorry you're feeling low

I know it can be hard to get motivated when you feel like that. I think it would be totally worth it to have someone clean your house. I'd rather being shoveling horse poop than doing house work. Which is probably why my house looks the way it does. I suggest the "once it's clean I'll keep it clean" excuse.

Oh and it sounds like that lasy with the financial stuff is hard to take I couldnt hear that all day-what about if you hire her put her to work and make sure your not around her while shes doing it-pay her when she is done and politely say you have to finish your stuff and you will see her anyother day-it forces them to zip it and go-she will get the hint

Krista, same happened to me in March. Excellent reputation breeder. One horrible rotten egg, next day one sweaty egg. I tossed the rest in the trash, she refunded my money, then she told me she thought I was a nut, and convinced me to put the eggs back in the bator. 8 were not cracked, they all hatched.

In the interum, she spoke to several people who know me, and found that I was not a nut. Then she had a few other people tell her they got a rotten egg too, then publicly apologised on that thread. One of her nests was getting wet when it rained, and she didn't know it.

We're pretty friendly now. She's a good person. I did send the money back.

But Krista-doesn't that smell just make you want to run like he11? It's the worst!

total score!!!! after spending over $100 and 3 days making a coop just to put the chicks outside(with heat lamp) I was not looking forward to making more coops for the rest that are now ready to go out....I just don't have the time

(and honestly it isn't too pretty). I found a guy on craigslist that was selling a 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 coop w/run for $250 NEW, he makes them. I went today to check it out to see how sturdy they were. He doesnt' make the runs anymore cuz he said it was too hard to work with the wire by himself so now he just makes the coops 7 1/2 x 3 1/2 for $275

. I ordered 2 and one will be ready in 3-4 days. I am so psyched!!! The time it is saving me is worth every penny. I will post pics of them when I get them. I just have no idea how I am going to get them out of the trailer though

they are HEAVY. The "windows" are 1/4 hardware cloth and open so I am going to make shutters for them and the door for the chickens to get out is open so I need to make that door too, but that's easy peasy

I get seasonal depression. January is horrid for me. Love it when the days get longer and I can get a sunburn. My energy level quadruples. I know there are lights you can use. At least things are better in NM than when I lived in Mich. More sun is probably not an issue in Fla. Caffeine also helps me.
