4 years in Colorado in grad school where you couldn't throw a rock without hitting a microbrewery. Some of the beer up there could substitute for a meal, and did. They finally set up a desk lamp on the bar at my favorite watering hole so I could drink and study.

I am generally not a beer drinker but tap Guinness, preferably in Ireland (it is always SUPER fresh - if you know what I mean) is something else!

I just checked it out- your irish car bomb sounds very quaffable !!! need to try that!

As for the other irish car bombs - they were always going of when I was a kid. I remember many an hour at school (in UK) waiting in the playground during a bomb scare while the police investigated ANOTHER suspicious package (AKA someones lunch box).

Guiness and COKE!!!!!????? That is beer perversion! I've had shandies before, but that takes the cake.
I do like radlers - german beer and lemon sprudel. Really good.

I prefer german beers, though I will do a Bass now and again. Wheat beer is probably my favorite. With a wedge of lemon! Great for hot weather! A good Paulaner hefe weizen and lemon will take take the cake!

hoppy hoppy hoppy. You don't used jarred lemon curd. It isn't that hard to make and is SO much better than jarred. In this baker's opinion, anyway!

I'll post the recipe when I get back from a meeting with texasgal. I need to divest myself of some chickens!
