Oh yeah .. and two of the hens were really interested in him yesterday evening .. Shiner quickly rounded them up and moved them to the OTHER END of their roost so that they can't even SEE him from there .. it was rather comical..hehe.

I only hear him in the morning .. Shiner doesn't crow much during the day either .. so it's pretty peaceful..

He'll be leaving this coming weekend .. and will have other little girls his own size to play with ..

Hiya all, been crazy here. How's things? Think I'm going to Albany this weekend which means 3 roos are coming with me. A good start... so many roos this year!

I've got my dun laced wyandotte eggs, after the PO held them captive for 5 days and then weren't they nice to hand deliver them when the box was marked "hold for pick up". I'd been calling for 3 days, you would have thought that would have clued them in.
the deliver guy gladly offered to take them BACK to the po so I could pick them up there

- grrrrr- damage done!

I bought this really bright light blue-green paint for the long bathroom walls and then a shade darker for the short walls. I'll decorate with mermaids. I seriously eyed some pinks, after your description of the bathroom you painted, but thought my DH would object!

Speaking of bantams... I am so in love with my bantam lavender ameraucana pullet I just may need more next year... she's so SWEET! and only the size of a pigeon. To make you drool here's some of my sweet little BLRW breeding flock for next year and one of Nat's olive egger roos...

and my sweet little ducks from Chickenstock...

I have 3 roosters going to good breeding homes this weekend... I am SO excited! Good homes for good birds, that always makes me feel good.
