Not a chance of any loose roos getting in with any of those girls I tell yah!!! He wasn't in such a hurry to finish these either until I threatened brindle and JOhn helping finishing them while they were here and the birds I NEEDED to house and keep under lock and key!!!! But he did and did an amazing job at them-they are so easy for me to keep clean-I could spend hours down there just talkingand playing with them:)

I am sooo jealous of your pens.

took two years to get them done ( well 1 year and 9 months of hinting and begging-then pressure with chickenstock coming helped ALOT) and Im so happy with them-Dh did an amazing job-my job was to hold all boards and staple all wiring on pen walls and doors-he did the major stuff. I saved chicken $ for a long time to be able to say ummm Hunny I think I have enough chicken money saved up from selling my eggs to build these-he said Ok I need x amount of $ laughing and I said ok-and next day gave him cash-I thinked he pooed a little ! hahaha

He's a great guy! I'd hold onto to him. How long did it take for him to really recover from Chickenstock? Hope you didn't give him too hard a time!

well after losing the silkie roo that my son was showing and now yesterday a marans "disappeared" the birds are penned up and silkies have their own place for the winter.
maybe next yr i'll just end up buying a silkie coop and building my own pens
