Wow... I dont think I've ever seen that side of you Nat!

Ok on another note... I have 3 grown birds with diarrhea... I'm a little paranoid, it's been awfully wet and cocci is protozoa... should I just do probiotics? Or is it another 2 weeks of egg withdrawal

Very cool. What do you have to breed him to?

Well, right now I have partridge. But, I'm hoping to finagle him out of a black hen as well. We will see...if not, I'll get something, don't you worry!!!

I'd love to work on a crele project, but from what I'm understanding from reading on other threads is that partridge x barred will give a crele look without the triangle on the wing. So...don't know what to do about that!?!?!? Unless someone has a BBR Cochin hiding somewhere, otherwise I guess to get a true crele I'd have to out-cross to a different breed. UGH!!! Though starting with a super typed roo might help get there a little sooner.

I'd do that cross then breed a barred offpsring(preferably male, if keeping only one bird) back to a pure partridge.. should get some barred partridges from this, they will look a lot like creles... much more so than a barred brown red or a "leaky" barred. This will be a great plan if partridges already have good or excellent type...

Barred x partridge will give chicks that will seem to start out barred and eventually get some color on hackles/saddles on roos, hackles and breast on hens. Right, no duckwing patch in this cross.

not too many people have seen that side of me-my ex-ex friends mm and both DD's when they have pushed my last button! I am NOT a pretty person when Im ticked off-I dont like to go there as that is a very bad side to be in-so I choose to be positive -most of the time LOL

The partridge I have are pretty good for partridge (that variety is like chasing a dream). So I'll cross the Tom Barred roo with the Jamie Partridge Pullets. Should look decent type wise!

Thank you all for your support last week. I just wanted to tell everyone thank you for the thoughts, suggestions and pm's. I love byc and the people that make up this community, the generosity is astounding!

If all works out, I hopefully will b getting a young pair of coros soon and will start over on my project. I will probably buy another batch of blrw eggs before the end of the month to hopefully add a couple more pullets, I plan on buying kelar's auction and trying the silkie thing again- I loved the babies I got from her. I do not show and i simply love a pretty bird, and hers are pretty. Lastly, Cowgirlgrace and keesmom, where much of my starter birds came from are helping me rebuild my lost birds. I owe them both a debt of gratitude.

To all the other folks- thank you for the offers of help, they were very appreciated. I do not want to take advantage of such awesome people, though.

Oops, forgot my grrr....the 20 split coro eggs from ebay- none were fertile, no growth.

The yay....my eggs from Bargain, 16 out of 19 developing.
