Im back 24 eggs made it to lockdown-kinda sad since only 40% were good:-( Oh well Here's hoping ALL 24 make it. Im counting on everyone to make it..LOL.

I candeled everyone but there was 1 BLRW out of 5 that is half the growth size as the others?? But its moving? Think it will be a runt? I have 1 Light brahma egg in there thats 1-2 days later so I will keep bator running for an extra 2-3 days beyond Tuesday. I "almost" gave my buff silkie roo away lats weekend but decided to keep him last minute. His name is "chuck Norris" and is so fluffy sweet. But I had no mates for him ( he does mate the 1 WC polish hen I kept) but he's basically a loner. I have 2 buff silkie eggs in bator that made it to lockdown so I truly hope I get a buff girlfriend for him

I kept all of mine too, unfortunately 2 of mine died over the winter. So, I'm down to 2 grown roos. They crow all the time, which is fine except when it's right next to my head!

I just found out my neighbor complains about my huge favorelle/amaracauna roo to my other neighbors. Her tenant is the bartender where we eat and I ask her all the time if my roosters keep her up? SHe says she could care less but the Landlord is not happy because he crows all night and her bedroom window faces that direction. She is right-he does crow all night long-The lights are kept on all night but will get shut off in another week or two at night for he rest of the Summer Season. I told her not to fret because If I can't find him a home he wil be gone:-( I always give my girls at least a month to relax- grow some feathers back and have partial peace with out the LOUD booming crow of my roo. I have other roos but they are not nearly as big or loud!

Did you keep any silkie or frizzle mixes-EE's? Or you just did a spot candle?

Yes Chuck Norris does this slow motion kick-it's pretty funny-he almost "winds" up before he does it and you can figure out long before the baby flog happens..LOL..But he loves to cuddle too...

I really dont care what the neighbor says because its my property but he wakes me up too-ALL night off and on especially if I forgot to take my Lunesta! SO I know the pissyness thats comes from hearing it-I respect that.

I had intended to hatch 4 of the EE's and they flipped and turned into an omlette, those are the ones I dropped along with the extra SC's the banty's I had sent to blessed. I have one mille fleur in the bator incubating just fine. Hoping for a hen to add to the hen and roo I have.
