Incubators. I don't need one of those big ones. I have had and still do , a 1588, with my hands turning. I've had real good hatches in it. Temp wise, I have needed to lay bubble wrap over the window if the temp waivers lower, or put a normal light bulb lamp over it if it's lower. Usually the bubble wrap laid loosely over the window does the trick. I still use it as a hatcher because I got bit by the bug and bought a rcom 20 a few months ago. With that, it's like a no brainer. You can set the temp and humidity, the eggs turn, and you can turn off the turner if you hatch in it. Best of all is the big clear window, and it's a double wall window, so the temps are real stable. I had to adjust the temp a bit , meaning it says 100.5, and the temp inside is 99.9, but it stays there and doesn't move. And if you open it, it reheats right away. And it plays a little song when it turns the eggs. But I still like my 1588, and use it. The 1588 was my 4th bator, and it was the best. I've never used egg turners. And I use the rcom turner because it's the floor that actually moves back and forth.
Have fun with the 1588, let me know when you set it up!
