So at least 9 of 14 of my BLRW eggs are developing!

I just hope they still are after the power outage we had last night. Also 3 of my goose eggs are developing, even the one that arrived cracked and I sealed it with wax! I really didn't expect to get any to develop! The 4th goose egg was oozing so I tossed it.

I couldnt help it! I candeled! I have 2 call duck eggs growing!!! yah!!! 2/9 so far I think the others have displaced airsacs--wobble all over--Turkey eggs on day 5 yah nope nothing yet! those suckers are hard and I wasnt using my big candeler so we will see in a few more days

just got 14 eggs to add to the bator.... black and lav split ameraucana from Sebrightmom. am going to candle everything tonight and see what I can toss to make room...
should I list everything in my bators?(later, after the kids are in bed of course)

Well HE double hockey sticks

I have another broody! That makes the 3rd in 2 months. I know for a fact her eggs aren't fertile, Soup has been gone for like 6 weeks, and Harold doesn't mount my big girls. Instead he's just mean to them. That's why he's going bye-bye with his 2 girls. But what the heck am I supposed to do with another broody? I hate to break her, (can you tell I had fertility issues?) it just seems so mean. But I'm supposed to be getting rid of chickens, not adding more

darnit. What a dilemma. Deny her her god-given right to motherhood, or add yet more babies to the flock by giving her fertile eggs. She even growled at me, which I found hysterical

My broody silkie bites me when I stick my hand in her cage. Good thing she doesn't hurt

If my big girl bit me, it would definately hurt. But she just growled, and then sat there when I stuck my hand under her. I just don't know what to do. But in the interest of wasting time, I'm gonna go check out the auctions

BTW Nat, the meds seem to have done the trick, I haven't found any nasty critters on my girls since Saturday
