Im sorry I know I know...who knows..I have to tell you I hated hates silkies in the beginning-and if it werent for an accident of hatching one and falling in love, Id never have the amount of them I do--so you never know someday I just might get a NN fetish!
Me too, Nat, you could have chased me with a silkie. I don't know what happened but my finger pushed the "buy" button, and I hatched 3 silkies 3 years ago, 2 roos and a hen. They lived together great. Then one roo died before Christmas, was either a latent Marek's or Equine Encephalitis. I loved the little guy. Now I have 7 cause I hatched some more eggs (mom hatched them), well, all 3 moms took turns hatching them. Added Bonus; they hatched a pullet the first time, and this time 3 pullets and one cockerel. So I'm happy that they produce more girls than boys.
I don't know what the draw is to NN, but Nava has some (choke) really nice (choke) ones. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I mean I love my roo with the disfigured eye, his name is Handsome and he does respond to it.
