I do. I flip the birds upside down and seperate a patch that exposes the skin above the vents-3 drops for grown bantams and 5-6 drops for LF-if it gets on their feathers and not skin-youll have to do it again because It wont work:-(

I use it too. I use about .4 ml for a chicken and .2-.3 for a bantam which ends up being about what Sonew uses. I spread the feathers on their back where their neck meets their back, and put it there. Make sure you get the one that has no withdrawel period.

How do you know if it does or not? It won't say for chickens. I just figured I'd feed them lots of scrambled eggs for a couple of weeks.

I'll try that, too. But right now there aren't that many flies. Those Musca Stiks are really good. Even the one with my hair all over it is still catching flies. I'm really pleased with them. Just have to remember to keep all my bits and pieces clear.

Yeah, I hate those stinky bag traps.

Um, just out of curiosity, is there any reason at all a 10 week BLRW pullet would have a large white patch feathers on it's neck and chest? It also has a straight comb. Any reason at all? Is this normal? Her brother also had a large white patch but it finally feathered in solid black. He also has a straight comb.

SOmeone has strightcombs in their breeding pens-If they dont then its in the genes somewhere. If you dont use them for breeding your chances of getting stright combs-down the line-are much better. I have 2 stright comb girls but Im not using them-they are sold already:-(

I'm thinking the ones with the white have to be mixes. Dang. I would understand the straight combs on a properly colored BLRW chick, but I think with the white that it is a mix.
