Phage, bad news, but maybe good news.

I don't think the double yolker I set a week is developing.

I'll give it a couple more days, but today is day 6 and no veining.

The maybe good news is she (Cheeky) just laid another whopper, even bigger than the first. If this one doesn't develop and look fertile I will see if I can AI her. I don't know if some pullets/ hens regularly lay double yolkers. These two were 8 days apart with regular eggs in between. I do know she didn't lay yesterday. Does anybody know if some hens have a pattern to laying double yolkers???

They are 2 and 3 years old. I did them all with Ivomec a few weeks ago. But I'm thinking of doing some Wazine as well, just in case.

Hoppy...best of the best luck and thoughts headed to you!

I have read and reread all of the conversation we have had here and elsewhere about the ivermectin 5% oilbased and the application to the skin and all the benefits etc.... the problem I am having is how and where do you get it. my vet says they do not have it and it is not at any of my local feed store. Suggestions? Do I need a perscription?

Ivermectin pour on???

What I understood was that I need ivermectic 5% oli based (so it does not wash away) and I will put (how ever many was suggested - I would need to look it up) drops of the stuff on their skin between the "shoulders" and/or above the vent.

Thats sounds like what I use-its blue liquid and costs 16$ at TSC should last for a long time

I did try TSC. Do you find it on the shelf or in the "locked cooler" section? Do you use it on the skin or do you do the by mouth kind?
