Not sure exactly what happened. Jeremy found them and cleaned up before I went out. I'm not sure if it is muscovy thing, but I know Bob had problems with his scovies. We have a bunch of Millies, but these were only 2 days old.

Hopefully it helps with your Mom on there.

Abit miffed?????? I'd be frickin pissssssed. Did you pay with paypal, you could mess that person up. If not, let's have a name. The sharks have big mouths with lots of teeth.

I was really angry then I stewed for a while so i was just miffed at that point. at least I will have some beautiful silkies when they hatch regardless of color but I really wanted that certain color. anyway- khaki and dun are chocolate and milk chocolate colors- one is one dose of choc gene and the other is 2 doses. (I forget which is which). that is not the color I was hoping to get in these eggs but that was my next beautiful color. I'd rather not say who the eggs came from. I'm angry but it won't do any good to bad mouth this person. she isn't selling this particular color and advertising it, I was surfing and saw it on her page, that's what made me want it.
I think it will be very popular when it gets out. I am hoping by some chance that what hatches will have this color but the chances are pretty slim- 1 egg from that pen and it might not even be from that birds parents (2 roos, 4 hens)

weird thing happened last night- apparently themostats don't last as long as you would think. I replaced 2 about 1 month ago and I had a 3rd one that was digital and the numbers were fading. I didn't think it was much of an issue, until last night. the 2 that I changed, house was nice and cool but the one that was fading- big problem. it was so hot in the house. I tried to turn it down- got it to show 40 degrees, figured if it got cold over night, that would be too low so set it for 60 (i'm in maine) so in the middle of the night, it is so hot in that room. apparently, the themostat died and reset itself for 90 degrees (as high as it would go)
man, we were all sweating last night. replaced that today and things are now back to where they should be- thankfully not in the middle of winter and using lots of oil but it's enough anyway.
