Looks like I'm not getting GLCs from Tom this year, but I'm getting two pair of LF Blacks instead. He has done alot of out crosses this year with the GLCs so perhap it will be better anyway to wait on those til next year when he breeds these. He is definately a believer in hatch a bunch and cull like crazy so next years should be even better. He has crossed some to GL dottes to improve lacing, and some to solid colored Cochins to improve type. Can't imagine his feed bill.

We've got 4 mille fleur cochin eggs in the bator on day 3 from the october egg swap. They are going to Nat when they hatch, if she wants them. I sooooooo do not need another breed. Silkies, polish, d'Uccles, and blrw's are enough. Besides, Acid keeps finding d'Uccle varieties to add, we're at 2 right now and picking up the third set at nationals.

as I have a cochin roo--"Rooster boy" another of marks favorite birds-he actually got out of the turck yesterday while we were driving tothe house-I said " where are you going?" he said" To talk to rooster boy! what??? I love it!

Oh, well bummer. That wouldn't be me.

Tell you what, though. After doing the top name egg thing and then buying started birds, I'd go for the birds every time, instead of the eggs!
