Yep, that's what I thought. It is actually Noyes Twp and is far enough out of town that it should be good. J and I are gonna take a ride up there tomorrow and see if we can find it. My friend at the sheriff office thinks it may be going up for sheriff sale. If so, we should be able to find out tomorrow. He could be wrong, since I was only showing him the CL posting, but he was pretty sure. It shouldn't be too hard for J to find, he knows the area pretty well from when he worked at the sheriff dept.

He didn't seem urgent. Said he wanted to move to be closer to family.

Don't go out of your way, but thanx if you do!!! It just seems too good to be true. He said you can't see the neighbors in the summer. And that it had a garage that they turned into more living space. And there's a 12 x 12 shed.

We will see for you, how good it really is. It is a good price for around here for the house and property. Property values up there are a lot less than anywhere else in the county, because it is in the middle of nowhere. There is no cell service up there (though, there was supposed to be a tower up and running in September, but that hasn't happened yet), Walmart is 45 minutes away, and Renovo isn't a great place to be in town. The area is very nice up there, and if you can't see neighbors, that is always a plus. An,d if for some reason you ever need police, fire, or ambulance, you could get to talk to me!! Oh, and if you and DH come up to see if Friday, I can give you a tour of where I work, if you wanted to swing down by there and meet me!

I doubt we'd come if he's not home. And if it is a Sheriff Sale, DH will pull back. He likes everything on the up and up!

He's got two other properties he's looking at now right on the PA/NY border. We aren't in a huge rush, just starting the search, knowing we don't want to stay in NJ upon retiring. If we found something in this price range, we could come out on weekends. Location is more important than house. He can build a house, he can't fix location!

Roughly $1000 per month for taxes and car insurance for 3 of us! Nuts, nuts, nuts!
