starting the family off with bacon, scrapple, cheese omlets, sausage gravy and biscuits...awsome youngest son helping me...can't have dinner till 6 (ish) oldest son has to work :-(

I don't do cool whip or Jello either and I have to admit we are buying a pie on the way to Boston. It's silly, actually - they have lots of great cooks there who cook desserts fit for a magazine cover and we bring pretty sad looking pies next to theirs. I really should learn how to cook!!

They do have a bunch of guys there interested in weird food (last year they were trying to get everyone to eat raw octopus) so I am bringing a Quorn roast (faux turkey) - google it if you don't know how gross it really is. but it tastes yummy!

Hubby is sad that we aren't driving the mega long trip in the Smart car, but we really haven't tested it in winter weather yet and there's a storm a'comin!
