ok Brindle combs are darker pink not red:-( SO here's my count under my broody's

first broody
2 splits eggs holding onto them before she went broody
5 BLRW eggs

2nd broody
3 BLRW eggs
1 OE egg

3rd broody
2 BLRW eggs
1 OE egg
3 split eggs I had been holding onto before they went broody

NO more split eggs from me for at least 6-8 weeks now:-( There goes my food $ makers hahahaha lets hope these eggies hatch!

I just loaded the last 2 girls up so whatever gets laid today from the BLRW's I will put under them too

first hatch due in 2 weeks 2 days
the rest 3 weeks from today next week after I organize and clean down there-as the temps should be climbing into the high 40's I will put all 3 broodies together in a big pen I hope with tons of bedding-heat light anda top of some sort to keep heat in there for them??? I cant imagine where all these birds would be if Mark didnt make my pensand help me clean out that side of garage? wow!!!
The millies are getting their own coop next Spring/Summer
silkies get their own coop
and all the odd ball hens get to totally free range -those are my egg layers

I still have 2 roos to off dang it all but now that the weather has taken it's toll no one is moving outside coop and the extra roos are driving my girls crazy!!!! I have an extra Lav orp roo and SLW roo left--anyone want them?? LOL oh and 2 OE roos too!

Nat, we need to get your ducklettes little ducky ball and chains, or something.

Can you hang cloth, like sheets with rocks tied into them, around 2 sides so they can't get out? Would they swim away while you were doing that? Then you could probably come in from the other side and grab the little terds.

I need to research wing clipping-they are getting asap. My Muffin is being a turkey butt. Everytime I go down there he is OUTSIDE his enclosure-he flys out! I pick him up and put him back in-I think its funny and dont mind it at all but Mark...he would not enjoy it when he's in a hurry in ams to go to work!
