mine come into the house and connects to one unit (I have comcaat) then that is wired to the router I had that unit go bad and lost my Internet.... I can go look at it and tell ya what it is called

wire comes in the house to phone jack by computer cabinet, into brand new modem, then CAT5 comes out of that and goes to Linksys wireless router. Plugging laptop directly to modem and it still drops us!

Drops 3 laptops and an ipod touch and the Pandora on the TV. Just blips and then comes back on.

On the laptop I lose the globe at the bottom and is says Local access only, when it's working it says Local and internet.

Nahhhhh, it's all wireless! The only thing plugged is the modem to the router! We are definitely a gizmo family! But I'm the head techno geek so when I can't figure it out, were screwed! And this has me STUMPED!!!

Sounds like a Century Link problem. Mine only does that when CL is having issues.
