I am a hatching machine. I have olive eggers that we put with a lav orp roo popping out today. I need to move them with the marans.

The lav auction by Ultasol- I bought my blue/splash pair from her, very nice birds. She also won alot at the Chehalis Show for her silkies when we went in November. Very pretty fluff balls, lol.

Has never been even close to a problem. If by chance, the early eggs end up clear, give the youngster a little time, he's still a growing boy.

SEE! Right from Big M, you don't have to molest poor Ben!

When we had a vet who showed dogs "molest" our old male a couple of times to send chilled semen for breeding, our old boy could find that vet ANYWHERE at a dog show. He LOVED that woman! I really got the idea he had no objection whatsoever to being molested.

Jeremy, George, PC where u guys at!!!

I'm with ya Bob... I'm gonna have to get the doc to prescribe me some estrogen patches just to tolerate this thread. Think I'll go collect some eggs and then get out the saw and nail gun and build something.

George have you guys decided to give the swap another go ? If so any dates set ?

I've got a black powder rifle to get sighted in before tomorrows Ground Hog day egg shoot at the Greene County Fish and Game. It's a hoot, only open sited muzzle loaders, flint or percussion, patched round ball only I believe, single projectile anyway. The stretch a line across the range on posts, suspended below this are single lines attached to eggs hanging about a foot off the ground. When your number comes up, about ten of you come to the firing like, each picking an egg on the closest line, about 10 yards out. If you break your egg they give you a playing card, good for a frozen chicken at the end of the shoot. Each time you come up to shoot you pick the next farthest line past your last successfull shot, at 10 yard intervals out to 50 yards. If you are having an off day you stay at the 10 yard line all day. It doesn't sound that tough but shooting standing off hand at a white egg hanging in the breeze especially if there is snow, or wind, will let you know who the shooters are. Plus several side shoots to take up the time between egg rounds, for bacon, or sausage, or such. Brindle I know your old man would fit right in there.

Gary, we are... we had been trying to come to a new contract agreement with the fairgrounds... not sure if it's 100% locked in but I think the dates are going to be April 30-May 1 for the spring, and fall swap on Sept 24-25. We are scrapping the June swap for now... it was too hot & low turnout.

Never heard of the egg shoot... that's just around the corner from my office. I don't do black powder at all.

He is still to young I can tell like Big meds said as he wasn't even doing his dance just bumping them around a bit so again I'd say the eggs I have are duds but they are going in anyway:-)

SPlit Lav silkies are back together in a new fresh pen-getting an egg here or there-I took all their chicks and gave them to my big fat broody cochin that was in with them. She was the only one who really tended to them anyway-she's in with a Split lav chick-a BLRW chick and a OE chick..Ready for this....?............ 2/3 are roos!
th.gif
WTH??? Who knows on the split Ill sell it off when old enough-dont really needs any splits anymore...

final count so far

9/14 Lv bantam Am's
6/12 B/BL LF AM's

8/8 BCm's on day 19
