Aww C your having a day like me my 6 week old split lav silkie died today:-( couldnt get under broody momma to keep warm I guess as the two bigger chicks hogged all the prime spots! was alive when Mark checked and very long gone when I got home!

thats two split lavs in 24 hours! I turned on a heater and put right near their cage!
 
It's so slick out the big dogs won't hardly go off the icey back steps for fear of wiping out on the iced snow, the rat terrier gets to the door hears the rain and is like "yeah right" and heads back to the wood stove. Will probably have to have a HOLY COW THERE'S SQUIRRELS ALL OVER THE BACK YARD alert right before we go to bed to get everybody out one last time tonight, hopefully with no casualties.

I tried to get one of him, but he wouldn't cooperate. His tail, saddle, and hackle feathers are barred, as are the top layer of his wing feathers and the rest of him in a smoky gray. He is gorgeous! I'd love to know where he got the barring from!

oooh IDK -cool-cant wait to see him eventually! The only thing I can think of is his daddy was the white orp??? Thats the only other roo that was around that could have possibly gotten to hen
