Sharpie on Eggs for Eating?

I love the idea of a skelter but what if you have lots of eggs? I don't have counter space so I refrigerate. Would having 2 or 3 take up a lot of room in the fridge?
Skelter would not be good for more than about 2 dozen eggs. I only have 5 laying hens and 2-3 are molting now. We are about done with eggs for the year unless my late summer pullets decide to lay. Are you storing all those eggs for the slow days of winter?

I do store eggs. This last winter i made it through, then 2 of my 6 layers were rehomed and 2 stopped laying.
I wash and dry my eggs, rub a thin layer of mineral oil on the clean dry shell, and put them in the fridge. As they get older I float test them. I didn't buy eggs all winter, lost maybe a half dozen total. I learned this method from a homesteader in Canada, Mrs Volfie of ourhalfacrehomestead.com . Her early videos are a treasure trove of information.

Reminds me of the old joke “during the space race, NASA spent a million dollars to invent a pen that would write in zero gravity. Meanwhile, the Soviet’s used a pencil.”
