How far is the nearest neighbor there?

I have no idea where these people get their fireworks, but I'm telling you - they didn't buy the dinky things that are "legal" for purchase in NC. Some awesome works. Oh, they drag them out for celebrations like weddings/birthday and Cinco De Mayo too. I can see most of it through the trees, so just enjoy the show:)
It's really not too bad here, I have a good buffer from the noise. I did leave the fans running on High for the birds though to help drown out 3 nights of fireworks LOL

What's annoying to me is the air cannons they set-up in the orchards to "scare away" wildlife. A few years back somebody messed with the blasted things and they were going off every few minutes in the middle of the night. It sounded like we were being bombed :hmm:lau

There are some neighbors pretty close across the highway from the school house but we know them. We could ask if they were done shooting off.
People are only supposed to be allowed to shoot them off in town the 3rd 4th and 5th.
I've been known to break that ordinance myself lol..so I can't be too witchy.
