Sooo..I started back to work this week after having the summer off.
Mason was not fan of this new routine. He does not like to get up early. The first day I made him stay in the kennel like I did last school year and I came home on my lunch to let him have a potty break.
When it was time to go back to the kennel he got broken legs and just refused to go back in there.
I had to drag his butt. He cussed me out big-time when I got home. big Baarrroooooooo right in the face.
The the last few days I have left him out and let him have free range of the house. I was pretty nervous about doing that. I had visions of coming home and finding him raiding the refrigerator, counter surfing or chewing all the legs off the table and chairs
But...I am proud to report he has been a perfect angel and did not mess up a single thing in the house. (knocks on wood)

Btw, if you ever do decide you wanna put him back in that kennel, tossing something tasty in there works wonders. most dogs wander right in to get it and then voila! Shut the door behind them! Sorry, sucker!

Of course there are always the smart ones that know what you are trying to do

He seems similar to Gator in some ways, oddly LOL Gator also used to hate getting up in the mornings and would sleep in forever if you let him and he also made those same sounds Mason did in the video when anyone rubbed his ears I think it feels good lol plus he was FULL of sass and clap back and always told everyone exactly how he felt about any particular situation.

Ah okay he seems like a smart boy! LOL although ya never know cause he seems super food motivated too? So sometimes I’ve been able to trick even the super smart ones cause the tasty food outweighs anything

That is true..he is food motivated.
He may have went willingy for a t-bone or some chicken.

Not for a plain ol milk bone though which is all I had handy.
