If that was mine, I would just pick him up and put him on my lap after I reclaimed the chair.

My new chair would not hold a dog when I am not in it. It is a lift chair and the seat is at too much of an angle for anything to lay on it when it is in the lift position. Best thing I ever did for my knees.

I just made Mason get out of my chair so I could sit down.
I debated sitting in a different chair and decided nope..
I will take that warm spot he has prepared for me.
