Did it finally bust out?

It did. .looks like a bit too soon too.
I fixed it where it could come out when it was ready and went on to bed last night. It was out this morning but it's got a pretty bloody belly. It is in a hospital bowl now. We shall see in a few hours How it looks.

belly is closed now. . just a little bulge left but it's all inside now thankfully.

Tis fun alright. . but it is also nerve wracking! Lol.

I can imagine I have eggs under broodys and that is nerve wracking enough.

And I spoke too soon. The second egg up and died on me for no good reason

Noting for my own future reference. .
I think several of these eggs belonged to my gray hen Jane. Her eggs are notorious for dying at hatch like this. .the heads look swollen for some reason. I do not think I will set her eggs anymore. She has trouble hatching them herself. . .
It was a little gray one too dang it! I want another gray hen like her.
