Can you hear them peeping yet?I don't think I need to do anything more than safety holes yet do I? Some are 24 hours internal pip.
I don't think a turkey egg would fit in The Turner would it?Green turkey eggs?
I would try to wait until I don't see hardly any red showing up any more before doing any exploring.I checked them all when I had to open to add a second bowl with a sponge. One is peeping that I heard. The one that external pipped this morning has lots of empty space in the egg but still red veins.
So you think 30 hours from internal pip max? Then start the cautious excavation into the aircell? 6 of the 7 have internal pipped. Sounds like I'll be doing egg surgery all day tomorrow!I would try to wait until I don't see hardly any red showing up any more before doing any exploring.
As for the internal pipped ones. . it's so hard to know when to say when. . if and when you decide to go in. . follow the instructions here https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/guide-to-assisted-hatching-for-all-poultry.72886/?page=2
I wouldn't push it past 30 hours. I've lost some both ways. . but it seems best if they can at least externally pip on their own it seems like to me.
I would say so. . but let's ask @WVduckchick and @RavynscroftSo you think 30 hours from internal pip max? Then start the cautious excavation into the aircell? 6 of the 7 have internal pipped. Sounds like I'll be doing egg surgery all day tomorrow!
