Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

I AM FURIOUS!! My poor Call duck lady emailed me just now, saying all her ducks have been stolen by some wicked, evil despicable person! Who would do such a thing? That person deserves to be arrested and thrown into prison!
She has a sweet little son who incubated and raised these ducks, trying to earn up money selling them. HE's devastated, and I am sick right now.
Not only do I not get any ducks, but they have none. I said they can still have Gilbert if they want him, the poor boy.
This guy stole her white drake about a week or so ago, and now came back and stole them all out of the coop!
Wow I have bad luck with Call ducks. It's been torturous trying to get my hands on some.
That is just beyond horrible!! What the h.e.double hockey sticks people! :rant:rant:rant
:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Freaking ridiculous we should have to padlock our back yard birds.
I have padlocks on my duck palace. . mostly just so kids that might be tempted to try and get in to pet them.. Never really thought about someone trying to steal them but I suppose that possibility isn't off the table. :mad:
Oooo I'd like to :smacksomeone!
I'm so sorry :hugsI wish you were closer I would give you a couple of mine. You can have zombie eye for sure :lau
Sorry. . I had to. :he

At this rate, I'd take zombie eye, maybe even Ralphie himself! haha!
Maybe she should booby trap her coop. You know, place bear or wolf traps hidden in the dirt around the perimeter of the coop, and the intruder gets a nasty surprise. Disguising traps for catching animals is a talent I inherited from my father. I could trick a thieving human in the dark..
She told me she is armed in case, and has their vicious cattle dog on guard duty, along with other protections

Unbelievable! I assume there's no chance it was a predator attack? She needs a simple camera system. I bought one from amazon for under 150, it has 4 cameras and really comes in handy.
Coons raided her chicken coop last night but left evidence everywhere. This lady seems pretty experienced and knows what she's dealing with. I'm not going to doubt her judgement, but I had my big EE rooster stolen without a trace by a coyote in the daylight

I have looked into cameras on Amazon and can't ever figure out what kind to get. There are so many different kinds and features . .I need something not very complicated. What kind do you have?

Go wireless if you can. I have a wired system with several cameras that cover most of my property, but the chicken and duck areas are a little too far away for good camera placement. I may get another wireless system just for the coops, or trying to figure out a signal booster or something. There are a few threads here on what some people have done. I just need to take some time and actually research to see what will work for me.
