Poor Jane. Only one little 'ling for all her trouble.

Air cells look good on the Bator eggs, sorry you lost a couple more. Are these keepers? Wonder if Jane would raise them too?

Ravyn, might Jane accept more if her one is a week old already?
(cause I'm thinking if Lexi has a rough hatch, I could keep some that I just hatched, but they will be 10ish days old by then)

I wondered about that also.
I may be able to keep a girl or two but won't be able to keep them all. I want to grow them out though and see what they all look like.

She might... or she might not... ducks are much harder to get to adopt others as they talk/bond before they hatch... but some will... some never will...

It's worth a try, just be careful and monitor super close... and you would have to do it ASAP after they hatch... if they imprint on a person before they get to mama duck, they'll cry and cry... when mama can't get them to stop crying she will attempt to attack whatever is making the babies cry, unfortunately without a visible target the babies usually get the brunt of it...

On the worthless dux hatch or the worthless dux?

I think she lost the one from the incubator but the Worthless Mommy Dux still has a worthless Baby Dux.......as I recall.

I have been counseling her on her worthless Dux problem, but she has been resisting all progress so far. Hopefully, I will get her hooked on turkeys soon.
