X2 that.
I candle when I turn the eggs right before bed. I figure that setting a clean rubber candler tip on the eggs can't possibly kill them. I don't have to touch the eggs so no guilt there. :D
There would definitely be more potential for harm or accident in a cabinet rather than a table top like we use.
So far I've candled these shipped quail eggs once a day. Currently standing at an 82% survival rate and they'll go into lockdown today or tomorrow.

Who was it the other day that mentioned they dropped something onto an egg and busted it during candling time?

I forget but, you're probably right it was someone with a cabinet and not a table top incubator...

Um, that was turning during mid-day. I dropped the thermometer on it.

He missed the bear entirely this time. I didn't have a candler within five feet of the eggs. :bun

Oh, it was you that opened the incubator and broke the egg? But-----but-----but----- Aren't you the one that said accidents only happen with cabinets?

When did you get the new incubator?:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:gig:gig:lau
